Brikena Xhaferi from the Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communications-English Department participated in the International Conference organized by the Department of English at the University of Basel, Switzerland on June 30-July 2, 2010.

“European Union Policies in the Western  Balkans,” was the title of the paper of Dr. Ylber Sela and co-author Lirim Shabani, presented in the international conference “Western Balkans: Opportunity or Challenge for the Future of the European Union,” organized by the Kosovo Public Policy Centre from 26-27 June 2010 in Prishtina.

SEEU will confer the title Doctor Honoris Causa for 2010 to the first Rector of SEEU, Academician Alajdin Abazi. This was decided at the Senate meeting that was chaired by the new Rector elect in the capacity of Pro-Rector, Prof. Dr Zamir Dika, on 23 June 2010. This proposal was approved with acclamation by all Senate members.

This title will be conferred to the Rector Alajdin Abazi with motivation for his exceptional contribution as SEEU Rector, for the established national and international reputation, for development of higher education in the Albanian language in the R.Macedonia and for the special contribution for the development of science in R.Macedonia and abroad.

The proposal for conferring the title Doctor Honoris Causa is from the Faculty of Business and Economics and from the Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies but it is supported by all faculties.
