On Thursday and Friday (6-7 October 2011) SEEU’s Faculty of Business and Economics had the pleasure to host the 11th annual European Doctoral Seminar (EDS).
The building is equipped with a system that uses alternative sources of energy. This concludes the first phase of the project ECO Campus, which foresees all Faculty buildings at the SEEU campus to use ecological energy resources.
On Monday in a friendly atmosphere,SEEU's Rector, Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika hosted the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Pançe Kralev, accompanied by the Deputy Minister Mr. Safet Neziri.
On Thursday (15 September 2011), Orientation week commenced for all new enrolled students at the South East European University. In the solemn ceremony, SEEU’s Rector Prof. Dr. Zamir Dika, Pro-Rector for Academic Issues Prof. Dr. Paul Foster and President of SEEU’s Student Union, Pajtim Thaçi, wished a warm welcome to freshmen.
On the solemn Ceremony at South East European University on Tuesday ( 13th of September 2011) the generation of graduated students from the one year certificate program Leadership and Community Youth Work from Kosovo were promoted.
The South East European University will contribute by increasing the number of articles in Albanian and Macedonian language in the open encyclopaedia Wikipedia.
In its regular meeting, the South East European University Executive Board Committee was held last week, at the University of Oxford premises in the United Kingdom.

South East European University is making final preparations for the accreditation of the Doctoral School.
In the first enrolment period at South East European University Tetovo and Skopje, about 700 candidates have applied. “These numbers are satisfactory for us and so far over 50 percent of vacant places are fulfilled”, said Demush Bajrami, Rector’s Advisor for PR and Communication.

The conference "The role of the civil society in voluntary work for development of a democratic and participative society” that was organized at the campus of the SEE University brought together key-note speakers from the field of civil society and university professors from Macedonia and abroad.
Ass. Prof. Dr. Veli Kreci delivered a keynote lecture titled, “How to improve public policies: Policy analysis in the policymaking process” at 1st Summer School of the Faculty of economics TU of Kosice on June 29, 2011.
On Monday (20 June, 2011), 20 mayors from municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo visited the South East European University.
On Monday (June 20, 2011) the International conference “The Ohrid Framework Agreement: Towards Macedonia’s Membership in the European Union and NATO" was held at SEEU, gathering the main actors of the Ohrid Framework Agreement.
“SEEU Online Summer Institute” was the title of an intensive two week training for online teaching held at SEEU from 06.06 2011- 17.06.2011.
SEEU Unit of Bioethics is the only representative of the Republic of Macedonia at the International Network of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, among sixteen member states at world level. (http://www.unesco-chair-bioethics.org/)
He was the only expert who succeeded to be selected and invited from the host, from all HEI in the Republic of Macedonia.
Co-sponsored by Columbia University’s Program on Peace-Building and Rights, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Philosophy at Sts. Cyril and Methodius University (UKIM), South East European University (SEEU), and the State University of Tetovo (SUT), the conference will convene in Tetovo on 20 June 2011 from 9AM at SEEU Campus while on 21 June 2011 from 8:30AM at the Rectorate of Sts. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
