SEEU will confer the title Doctor Honoris Causa for 2010 to the first Rector of SEEU, Academician Alajdin Abazi. This was decided at the Senate meeting that was chaired by the new Rector elect in the capacity of Pro-Rector, Prof. Dr Zamir Dika, on 23 June 2010. This proposal was approved with acclamation by all Senate members.

This title will be conferred to the Rector Alajdin Abazi with motivation for his exceptional contribution as SEEU Rector, for the established national and international reputation, for development of higher education in the Albanian language in the R.Macedonia and for the special contribution for the development of science in R.Macedonia and abroad.

The proposal for conferring the title Doctor Honoris Causa is from the Faculty of Business and Economics and from the Faculty of Contemporary Sciences and Technologies but it is supported by all faculties.

Euro-integration was the topic of the lecture of the Czech President, Prof. Vaclav Klaus that was delivered at SEEU, Tuesday (22 June), which was realized under the frames of his visit to Macedonia.

In a solemn ceremony, the sixth generation of graduates of the South East European University-Tetovo, was promoted on 5 June 2010. Beside students, parents, academic and administrative staff, representatives of the diplomatic core and other distinguished guests also participated at the graduation ceremony.

SEEU representatives Azir Aliu and Halil Snopce, have participated in meeting of the Tempus project “European VICES,” which was held in Durrës, Albania from 9-12 June 2010.
