From 27 June to 2 July the President of the University Board, Prof Dr Dennis Farrington, visited Armenia to continue his participation in three projects: firstly the Council of Europe project 'Strengthening Integrity and Combating Corruption in Higher Education in Armenia' secondly the Council of Europe project on 'Higher Education Legislation in Armenia' and thirdly the EU-Armenia Twinning Project ' Empowerment of Tertiary Level Education of Armenia for European Higher Education Area Integration.' The last of these, which was managed by Finnish and German experts, was at the invitation of DAAD (the German Academic Exchange Service). During the week in Armenia, on behalf of the Council of Europe Prof Farrington finalized the report on codes of ethics, which was presented by him personally to the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, Mr Levon Mkrtchyan. Subsequently there was a Press Conference (photo). Prof Farrington also chaired a working group discussing the latest draft of the new Law on Higher Education. Also present were the Ambassadors of the EU, Finland and Germany. The work on higher education law reform continues.
