In his welcoming speech, the Rector of the South East European University expressed his satisfaction with the current cooperation with the Shams Foundation from the USA. He presented to potential investors a brief history of the University, the achievements so far and the innovations that are being implemented in the teaching process and the functioning of the University. Rector Bexheti underlined the importance of cooperation with Indiana University in the USA, since the establishment of UEJL, which took the development of this institution to another level.
"SEEU is a unique, trilingual university, which made it distinct in the way of cultivating and promoting this ethnic diversity in the country. In recent years, the government has appreciated and recognized this specificity of our University, providing us with financial support of 20% of the budget's income” said, among other things, Rector Bexheti.
Through the online platform the president of this foundation, Kamrudin Shams, presented the opportunities for cooperation and the functioning of Shams Foundation.
"The Shams Foundation has two main goals, one is to provide meritorious scholarships for students in university studies; engaging influential individuals and distinguished entrepreneurs, and the other is to ensure economic well-being (economic empowerment), for individuals who wish to act globally," said in his address speech president Shams
"It is an honor to have the opportunity to see such a successful and fruitful collaboration between SEEU and Shams Foundation. These and similar collaborations will change the perception of North Macedonia and will influence the promotion of opportunities for concrete investments", said the Minister of Economy of North Macedonia, Kreshnik Bekteshi, in his address speech to the audience.
Bekim Emini, Director of the Government Agency for Attracting Investments "Invest in North Macedonia", presented the investment opportunities in the Republic of North Macedonia from the perspective of the Government. Regarding the activities of the Fund for Innovation and Development, president the director of this fund, Festim Halili.
The symposium was opened and moderated by the Pro-rector for Research and International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Besa Arifi
On the second day of the symposium, presentations will be at the Business Innovation Center and TechPark, while participants will visit the Free Economic Zone of Tetova, where they will have a meeting with Aleksandar Zarkov, director of Normak Investment Group.
The participants of the symposium will visit the Economic Chamber of North West Macedonia, where they will meet with the director, Nebi Hoxha and SEEU Campus in Skopje, where they will meet with the Director Veland Ramadani.
