Dr. Jim Lofton from Washington and Lee University School of Law, USA, delivered the workshop for the students. This was an on-site event where students from different universities collaborated together and shared their thoughts on the topic of hate crimes.
Dr. Jim Lofton is an adjunct professor at Washington and Lee University School of Law. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Richmond and a BA degree with distinction from Virginia Military Institute. Dr. Lofton has been a Fulbright scholar at Bilkent University Faculty of Law in Turkey as well as a Legal Specialist at the American Bar Association, Rule of Law Initiative in Kyiv, Ukraine. Between 1990 and 2016, Dr. Lofton worked in the US Department of Justice as a Trial Attorney, Senior Counsel and Counsel to the Chief. From 2021-2022, Dr. Lofton was a Fulbright scholar for one academic year at the SEEU Faculty of Law and at SUT Faculty of Law.
