The event was opened by the President of ABSL North Macedonia, Mr. Blerim Shaqiri, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the private sector and institutions in creating a more competitive environment for the services industry.
The Mayor of Tetovo, Mr. Bilal Kasami, highlighted the support of the local government for the development of the ICT sector.
Meanwhile, the Pro-Rector for Planning, Research and Entrepreneurship at SEEU, Prof. Dr. Veland Ramadani, stressed the role of the university as a bridge between academic knowledge and market needs, underlining the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation and strategic partnerships.
Throughout the day, panels and presentations were held on building a competitive ecosystem for the BPO/ICT sector, regulatory and institutional challenges, as well as the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on the services industry. In parallel, structured B2B meetings, networking activities, and exhibition spaces for companies and partners were organized, creating concrete opportunities for cooperation.
The event continues tomorrow with additional thematic sessions, business meetings, and active participation of academic staff and students, reaffirming South East European University as an important hub for dialogue among policymakers, industry, and innovation in the region.
