Albanian language for beginners 1 is an obligatory three- credit course. It is designed for students who do not possess basic knowledge of the Albanian language in order to familiarize them with the features of this language, to acquire knowledge about the linguistic structure of the Albanian language, to acquire a moderate number of lexical sets which will aid them in basic communication. Taking into consideration that it is a beginners’ course, it is aimed to be flexible and adaptable to the students’ opportunities and interests. Through this course, students will acquire the necessary knowledge about the grammar of the Albanian language, students’ vocabulary will be systematically expanded, starting from concepts related with objects, colors, numbers, etc. through activities that will aid the development of students’ linguistic competences.

Albanian language for beginners 2
Albanian language for beginners 2 is an obligatory three- credit course. It is designed for students who possess basic knowledge of the Albanian language in order to expand and apply the knowledge acquired in the previous semester in everyday situations, which will also help them acquire knowledge about the linguistic structure of the Albanian language, to acquire a moderate number of lexical and grammatical categories which will aid them in simple conversation. Even though it is a second- level beginners’ course, it is designed to be flexible and adaptable to students’ opportunities and interests.

Albanian language for beginners 3
After completing level 3, students are expected to be able to communicate well in Albanian, to apply their knowledge about word order and grammar rules needed for conversation, as well as to write simple paragraphs when describing places they have visited, films they have seen, novels they have read, etc. They should also be able to write short biographies, differentiate between formal an informal email messages and to express themselves in an oral or written form when discussing different topics. These courses can serve as bases for further improvement of the language through self study.

Macedonian Language 1
Macedonian Language 1 is designed to meet the needs of the students with Albanian as a language of instruction, and is primarily geared towards practical studying of the Macedonian language. The classes are held twice a week and the course itself has 3 (three) credits. The syllabus consists of the basics of Macedonian orthography. At the beginning, the classification of languages and the place of the Macedonian language and the other Balkan languages within the frames of the Indo-European family of languages are reviewed. A special attention is given to the Balkan linguistic community and the structural similarities among the Balkan languages, and above all, between Macedonian and Albanian. Then, students study the orthography of the Macedonian language through which students largely increase their ability to use written and spoken Macedonian correctly. Macedonian language I classes are interactive by engaging the students to participate in lessons. This is, above all, due to the fact that more attention is paid to the practical use of Macedonian orthography, which motivates the students to revise and demonstrate their knowledge in class.

Macedonian Language 2
Macedonian Language 2 curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the students with Albanian as a language of instruction, and is primarily geared towards practical studying of the Macedonian language. The classes are held twice a week and the course itself has 3 (three) credits. The syllabus consists of the basics of Macedonian grammar. At the beginning of the semester, it deals with the morphology of the Macedonian language with a special emphasis on the categories of nouns, adjectives and verbs. A special attention is given to the complex verb forms that correspond to their forms in Albanian through which students largely increase their ability to use written and spoken Macedonian correctly. Macedonian language 2 classes are interactive by engaging the students to participate in the lessons. This is, above all, due to the fact that more attention is paid to the practical use of Macedonian grammar, which motivates the students to revise and demonstrate their knowledge in class.

Macedonian Language 3
The course Macedonian language 3 is aimed to expand students’ knowledge in Macedonian so that they can express themselves in writing and orally at a more advanced level. At the same time students are expected to become more autonomous in their learning and to take responsibility for it. After completion of this course, students will be able to read, write and comprehend different types of texts in Macedonian. They will also acquire skills for successful written and oral translation from Macedonian into Albanian. Upon completion of this course, students will be enabled to think critically and express their opinion in Macedonian as well as to communicate successfully in a multilingual and multicultural setting. Macedonian language 3 deals with all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) with a special focus on written and oral translations of different types of texts from the field of language, culture, tradition and multicultural values, necessary for everyday life, academic and professional settings.

The course Macedonian language 4 is a continuation of the previous course – Macedonian language 3. It is focused on further development of students’ knowledge and skills for an advanced written and oral expression in Macedonian in a multicultural and multilingual setting. After completion of this course, students will be able to read, write and comprehend different types of texts in Macedonian, as well as to perform written and oral translation from Macedonian into Albanian. They will also be able to think critically, debate and discuss on different topics from every day and professional life.

The curriculum for Macedonian Language for beginners 1 is designed to meet the needs of the students with Albanian as a language of instruction who do not know Macedonian and is primarily geared towards practical studying of the Macedonian language. The syllabus deals with the initial studying of the Macedonian language. At the beginning of the semester, attention is given to mastering the alphabet, correct reading, pronunciation and writing in Macedonian. A special attention is given to the basic communication in Macedonian, i.e. introducing, greeting, and, finally, concepts related to time and space. The classes for Macedonian language for beginners 1 are interactive by engaging the students to participate in lessons. This is, above all, due to the fact that more attention is paid to the practical use of Macedonian orthography, which motivates the students to revise and demonstrate their knowledge in class.

Macedonian Language for beginners 2
The curriculum for Macedonian Language for beginners 2 is designed to meet the needs of the students with Albanian as a language of instruction who do not know Macedonian and is primarily geared towards practical studying of the Macedonian language. The classes are held twice a week and the course itself has 3 (three) credits.
The content of the syllabus builds up on the knowledge previously gained in the first semester. At the beginning of the semester, attention is given to the use of the adjectives in everyday life, and through it, the use of the more complex sentences in Macedonian is studied. Throughout the semester, students expand the acquired knowledge through dialogues, which helps students to largely increase their ability to use written and spoken Macedonian correctly. Classes in Macedonian language for beginners 2 are interactive and with continuous build- up of the acquired skills.

Macedonian Language for beginners 3
After completion of the course Macedonian Language for beginners 3, students are expected to acquire knowledge and skills that will enable them to communicate in Macedonian. Besides that, students are expected to become more autonomous in learning the language. They will be able to read simple texts in Macedonian and write paragraphs. At the same time, they will be enabled to communicate in Macedonian both in a written form and orally. The course is focused on all four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. However, more attention is paid to developing students’ communication skills necessary for everyday real life situations.

Macedonian Language for beginners 4
Macedonian Language for beginners 4 is a continuation of the previous course, Macedonian Language for beginners 3, and is focused on further development of students’ language skills in Macedonian. After completion of this course, students will be able to read longer texts in Macedonian and to write texts on different topics. Their communication skills in Macedonian, both written and oral, are also expected to become more developed, especially those needed for communication in every day, real life situations.

Academic writing in Macedonian
The curriculum of Academic writing in Macedonian is designed to meet the needs of the students with Macedonian as a language of instruction, and is primarily geared towards enhancing the writing skills in Macedonian. The classes are held twice a week and the course itself has 3 (three) credits. The syllabus focuses on the written expression processes through planning, preparing, writing, revising, reviewing, and the final product- paragraph writing. The first classes cover the academic writing terminology: paragraph, essay, portfolio, seminar paper as well as written and spoken interference which will help students become more efficient in terms of correct use of written Macedonian language. Then, students are trained to write paragraphs and paragraph structure in Macedonian. On the final classes, students are working on the process of paragraph writing on a given topic by applying the acquired knowledge of the orthographical rules.
