Eight papers were presented in the Track, covering higher education governance developments in China, Australia, Canada, The Netherlands, Germany, England, Greece and Finland. Discussions included ways of increasing state university autonomy through creating university corporations separate from the state, new methods of strategic planning involving 'wicki' technology, factors influencing decisions on participation in the EUA Institutional Evaluation Programme, strategic re-orientation of failing institutions, and the influence of politics on universities. A total of about 80 papers were presented at the Forum. The Rector, Ac Alajdin Abazi and Dr Farrington presented a paper at the 30th EAIR Forum in 2008. SEEU staff are strongly encouraged to submit proposals to the 32nd Forum, to be held in Valencia, Spain in September 2010, to maintain the profile of the University, the Republic of Macedonia and their Faculty on the European research leve.

2 September 2009Dr Dennis Farrington, President of the University Board, representing SEEU, Republic of Macedonia, was Track Chair for the topic 'Where does the power of governance reside' at the 31st Annual Forum of the EAIR (European Association for Institutional Research: www.eair.nl ) held at the University of Vilnius, Lithuania, (celebrating its 430th anniversary) from 23 to 26 August 2009.
