
SEEU’s Rector Emeritus Academician Alajdin Abazi and Prof. Dr. Ali Pajaziti attended the fourth scientific congress entitled “Islamic Civilization in the Balkans,” organized by IRCICA(Research Centre for Islamic History Art and Culture), Istanbul and Macedonian Academy for Science and Arts held in Skopje on 14 and 15 October 2010.
In this important scientific event, 110 papers from more than 120 scientists from universities and research institutes of the region and Europe (Albania, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Serbia, Greece, Netherlands, Turkey, and more) were presented.
The paper of SEEU’s professors was entitled "Multiculturalism, Ethnic Cohabitation and Higher Education: The Case of SEEU," in which, besides theoretical aspects, empirical data from a survey on perceptions-attitudes of a sample of 80 employees from this institution on multiculturalism, culture of others, the need to learn from the culture of others, customs, traditions, self-realizations at SEEU, career, the University's public image, were also presented.
